Hanging up a “No Trespassing” sign is like sending out a gilt edge invitation to a photographer. It’s like hanging up a colorful, neon sign that flashes, “Come! Look! See!” Sure, you can sure get arrested for going there, but there must be something really worth seeing behind the curtain.
No, I didn’t go on the property in the photo you see at left. I was good and stayed where it was legal, (hmm, or did I?) Aw, the best shot was this one anyway. This is the shot that says the most to me. There is that abandoned, old, farm, house laying at the end of an enticing path that cuts through the golden, harvest ready, crops. All blocked by a Posted No Trespassing sign that sits on top of what looks like an artist’s easel made of iron fence posts.
Now that I think of it, “Posted No Trespassing” must be French for “Come on in. We got the tea on the stove, fresh hot bread and a fire to warm yourself.” Yep, I’m pretty sure that’s what it means?
