Just over the next Hill
I took this photo on a foggy, surreal, dream-cast morning. This photo captures the feelings of what I experienced that day. Everything was cloaked in fog and each glance around revealed a better image than the one I had just taken. It was hard to keep myself from running from spot to spot chasing an elusive perfect, next-picture, just “over the next Hill”. I dropped to my knees on this colorful, leaf strewn hill and forced myself to see, then captured this image. Forcing myself to see, means taking the time to really look and calming my brain to perceive. It is finding out what is making me excited and then deciding how I can best capture that image.
